History of Minoo Industrial Group

Minoo Industrial Group was established as an Iranian food private held company in 1959.

The number of workers of the company, which was named “Pars”, was not more than 15. It started its work with the production of candy and toffee. Commissioning candy-making company, Minoo was intended to start pharmaceutical line simultaneously and it aimed to make Boots medicine under the license in Iran. Toffee was the first production of Minoo which named “Three-star butter Toffee”.

Building the company was started. It was finished and exploited in 1962.

Wafer was entered Iranian market by Minoo Company in 1962. This decade was the company’s golden age because it purchased new lands by developing the company and also a suitable and enough area in Khoramdare, Zanjan aimed at not centralization industry policy in Tehran in two decades.

Minoo Company could achieve first rank in production and selling chocolate in Iran by presenting bubble gum and after that producing “Chic chewing gum”, establishing lines of biscuit and chocolate production with Minoo brand, producing two products which named Kit-Kat and Smartis under the license of Raven Ter Macintosh, UK.

Mr.Khosroshahi said about this naming that: “When I was a child my mother and I had been going to the arrival of Naderi Street to Mina confectionery. They had a cookie which name was Pofak and was my favorite. The product that was in the process of producing had a lot puff and because it was salty I decided to call it Pofak Namaki. I registered this name in a rush. In this year biscuit-making line was started.

Persuis Exporting Company Foundation as a company which exports the products of Minoo group was in this year. It has been working from that time up to now.

This factory was exploited in 1975. The first machines that transferred to Khoramdare were Pofak Namaki machines. They started production with lovely product “Pofak Namaki” and after that candy and toffee.

Khoramdare biscuit line, one of the largest biscuit lines in the world was initiated in this year and after that Pam Pam spongy cake was produced. The company had 2000 workers in 1976.

Khoramdare Company was like an industrial park in that year. It had residential area and it provided other living facilities for workers and clerks and helped to the development of the area.

Minoo Industrial Group transferred to the government according to that time policies and after that the management of the company was assigned to national industry governmental organization.

According to the freedman late Mr. Abootoraabi continuous efforts, Minoo Complex (food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and hygienic producer) assigned to Azadegan Economic and Self-Employed Company that it led to Minoo Industrial Company revitalization and development. Minoo Group became a pioneer and leader in Confectionary industry by the production of 400 tons of product after ten years of assignment to our country honored freedmen.

Minoo Industrial Group purchased the stock of Chocopars Company in this year and it was moved to Khoramdare in parallel with the policies of Azadegan Economic and Self-employed Company in 2008 and continued its work.

The establishment of Minoo Fars Food Industry in this year by the aim of the production and sale of date liquid sugar, date concentrate, palm sugar, forage powder and also organic and natural production derived from date such as date nectar, palm sugar, and palm sugar with ground sesame.

The purchase of 100 hundred shares of Zahedan Razavi bakery food industry was in this year. Its name was changed to Minoo Shargh Food Industry Company.

In the late 1390s Minoo Industrial Group had developing plans and with the aim of the supply of raw materials chain perfection purchased 100 percent possession of oil factory in Mazandaran, Behshahr. It produces different kinds of industrial oil for Minoo Industrial Group companies with the aim of different products production and different kinds of oil for family usage which are accessible in the markets

In persistence the policy of the supply of raw materials chain perfection, sugar and sugar plump factory in Fars, Fasa was purchased in this year which is 0.9652553963 miles. This factory was named Ghand Minoo Fasa and it provides 7 percent of all country need.

Minoo Industrial Group with the aim of producing activity development and reinforcement of its presence in families’ dish purchased Marian agro-industry complex. It produces different kinds of conserve, compote, pickle, jam, tomato sauce, pomegranate sauce, honey, canned fish, olive, lemon juice, verjuice, and dried whey. Its productions are popular between consumers with high reliability which brand is Chashni.
